The incumbent of the post is responsible to the Senior Medical Officer or Medical Officer in-Charge.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
In accordance with Agency policy and procedures, the incumbent:
-Supervises and provides laboratory services including biochemistry, haematology, serology, routine (urine and stool examination) and bacteriology.
-Maintains records of all laboratory inventory and estimates requirements of laboratory supplies.
-Maintains laboratory statistical records and prepare monthly reports to ensure availability of data for the health information system.
-Reviews and analyzes quality control results (internal and external).
-Updates the programming of the automated laboratory equipment and follows up the preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment.
-Performs such other duties and assignments as may be required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Academic and Professional qualifications
-A University Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences from a recognized university.
-Possession of a license to practice laboratory services (where applicable).
Experience
At least two years of experience in a providing laboratory services.
Language
Good command of written and spoken English and Arabic.

-Acts in accordance with the profession ethics and values.

-Appointment to this post is subject to probationary period of one year. Upon satisfactory completion of this period and the continued need of the post, appointment will be confirmed.

The Agency maintains the discretion to fill future vacancies for this position from the roster without re-advertising the vacancy.

REMUNERATION’S
GRADE: 08
MONTHLY BASE SALARY : 528.7 JD + Other fringe benefits include provident fund & health insurance.
DEPENDENCY ALLOWANCE : Payable to spouse and up to seven children
DATE FOR ENTRY ON DUTY : As soon as possible
