The Palestinian Market Development Programme (PMDP) is a five years economic development program funded by UK Department for International Development (DFID) and the European Union (EU) in-cooperation with the Ministry of National Economy and implemented by DAI Europe, with offices in Ramallah and Gaza.
The programme has been designed to improve market systems and improve the competitiveness of the Palestinian private sector. PMDP works on strengthening trade and investment linkages as well as linkages with the Palestinian Diaspora to play an active role in the development of the Palestinian economy.
PMDP aims to improve private sector competitiveness through technical assistance and matching grants. Additionally, PMDP works on strengthening trade and investment linkages as well as enhancing the business and enabling environment in the oPt.
We are currently recruiting for the following positions:
1. Grants Manager - Ramallah Office
The Grants Manager based in Ramallah, is part of the Operations Team. The Grants Manager will devise and manage the design, development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of grant-making authority and grants management policies, procedures, and practices.
Key Skills & Qualification
· Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Master Degree is preferable.
· Minimum of 10 years relevant work experience.
· Experience managing a Donor funded grants programme required
· Strong Arabic and English skills
· Ability to provide support in grants process oversight.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong knowledge of procurement best practices
· Experience in administrative and financial management.
· Ability to work within a team.
2. Women and Youth Business Advisor - Ramallah Office
The Business Advisor, based in Ramallah, will work on the delivery of the programme activities that aims to generate jobs for women and youth through the matching grants component and other targeted interventions. The Business Advisor will work with other team members to achieve the programme goals.
Key Skills & Qualification
· Degree in relevant subject such as Business, Engineering, Economic Development. Master Degree is preferable
· At least 4 years work experience, preferably in women and youth Project.
· Previous experience with donor funded economic growth projects in Palestine.
· Previous working experience in private sector development.
· Knowledge of the MSME market in West Bank
· Previous experience working with women and youth organizations.
· Valid driving license
· Ability to travel throughout West Bank.
3. Gaza Women and Youth Manager - Gaza Office
Women and Youth Manager, based in Gaza, will contribute in designing interventions in coordination with PMDP team members that aims to generate jobs for women and youth. She/he will work on identifying and building beneficiaries pipeline in Gaza. She/he will also work with other team members and related organizations to achieve the programme goals through the matching grants component and other targeted interventions.
Key Skills & Qualification
· Degree in relevant subject such as Business, Economic Development. Master Degree is preferable
· At least 7 years work experience, in which minimum 3 years of them experience in women and youth Projects.
· Previous experience with donor funded economic growth projects in Palestine.
· Previous working experience in private sector development .
· Expert knowledge of the MSME market in Gaza
· Previous experience working with women and youth organizations.
· Valid driving licence.
· Ability to travel throughout Gaza.
4. Women and Youth Business Advisor - Gaza Office
The Business Advisor, based in Gaza, will work on the delivery of the programme activities that aims to generate jobs for women and youth through the matching grants component and other targeted interventions. The Business Advisor will work with other team members to achieve the programme goals.
